Recipe ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cup ice-cold water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped, optional

To whip up a fruit lassi, replace the salt, cumin, and chili with 2 ripe bananas or half a mango and 2 tablespoons sugar.

How to make indian lassi

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend about 15 seconds, or until frothy. If you don't have a blender, place all ingredients in a tightly covered jar and shake to mix.
  • Pour into glasses and serve inmediately.
